Confident Kids provides timely Occupational Therapy assessment and intervention for children in the Early Years who need additional support to thrive in their everyday roles at home, at nursery, transitioning into school and in their community. We specialise in working with Preterm / at-risk infants, baby and toddlers with developmental delays, children with a formal diagnosis including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD) and neurodevelopmental conditions including Cerebral Palsy as well as children who just need extra support in their general motor and sensory development.
We can help infants and children experiencing:

Individual sessions are primarily carried out in the child’s home, nursery or school depending on their need. We adopt the ‘just right challenge’ in all our sessions to ensure the child experiences a sense of success and mastery, thereby building their confidence to attempt more challenging tasks and develop their skills further. Sessions are planned with the child’s primary occupation of play in mind, so are fun and creative.
Early Intervention - Pre-term infants, babies and toddlers
Early intervention is so important in the development of infants and toddlers. This early input will help guide your child in overcoming developmental delays to improve their abilities that so are important to their growth. We can help your child reach those important milestones as an infant or toddler and become independent in their own right. We can help with:
Sensory co-regulation and self-regulation for sleeping, feeding and play routines in babies and toddlers.
Development of early motor milestones.
Developing your confidence in knowing how to meet your baby’s needs through learning about and observing their early behavioural cues.
Preschoolers and School Starters
There’s lots to learn in this early stage from the transition from toddler to preschooler and then to school-starter. We provide early intervention for those children who need additional support to develop their motor, sensory processing, play, communication and social-developmental skills. Specifically, we can help with:
Fine motor skills for prewriting, handwriting, scissor skills and general manipulation of fasteners and fine motor tools.
Sensory and emotional regulation skills for those children who have difficulties with transitions, attention, group work, focus, following directions, and completing tasks.
